The Guild of Long Draw Spinner (GOLDS) was established in 2007 and is affiliated to the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.
We meet on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 10.30am until 4.30pm. Our meetings are a combination of workshops, skill sharing days, or inspiration days where we show off our latest creations and sit, chat and spin. Annual membership is £15 and there is a £5 meeting fee. Tea, coffee and cake are included and we are renowned for our shared, convivial lunches.
No previous experience of spinning is necessary - all you need is enthusiasm – and don’t worry if you don’t have a wheel or other equipment.
